With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, colleague and friend on December 2nd, 2024, age 82 years. Jim was the patriarch and head of the family , as well as the proud owner of Weir’s Construction, Cabot Ready Mix and 7 J Trucking.  He devoted his life to the construction and trucking industry and served the community and the surrounding areas province wide for over 60 years. He leaves behind a legacy and reputation to be upheld by the values and ethics instilled in his family. Well done thy good and faithful servant. Jim is predeceased by his wife: Geraldine, son: Dennis, his father and mother: Hubert and Beatrice, brother: Winston, brother-in-law: Stewart Rideout and members of the Weir and Cox families. Left with fond and loving memories sons: Jim Jr. (Karen), Bill (Deann), daughter-in-law: Sharon, precious grandchildren: Jennifer (Kyle), Jason, Jessica (Morgan) Joshua, Janelle (Matthew), Jeannie (Josh), Johnathan, great-grandchildren: Jemma, Kendall, Kennedy, Jayde, Jaylah, Jillian, Jaxon, sisters: Edith, Barb (Robert), brother-in-law: Colin (Cora), sister-in-law: Ruby Cox. Jim is survived by the management, staff and employees of Weir’s Construction, Cabot Ready Mix and 7 J Trucking. Special thanks to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and 4 South A of Health Sciences Centre and special caretakers Yolanda and Cindy Gaulton.
