Heartfelt condolences to Dee, Laura, Renee and all the rest of Myles' family and friends.
Myles began as a coworker but very quickly became a trusted friend, we bonded over the hardship of working camp jobs, our love of music, fishing, the outdoors, and family.
A couple of my fondest memories of Myles were the time we wound up at a birthday party in Pouch Cove at the parish hall and performed with his brother Ken Patience by Guns and Rose's, Myles loved that song, he and I would whistle it while we worked.
Another really special occasion was when his daughter Laura played at the Black Sheep pub and Myles accompanied her on harmonica to Piano Man, he was so proud of her.
He loved his family, kids, and grand kids. He talked about you all so much and the look of pride on his face was unmistakable but it didn't stop with his own family and children! No sir. Every text, phonecall or interaction Myles would ask me how Kaley was doing and about our kids. He was the most genuine person I've ever known and I am proud to call him my friend.
Myles loved humor, anything for a laugh! I have thought many times about when he told his brother Ken and all the crowd I played basketball for the St. John's Edge with Carl English and made me go along with the charade which I'm not sure he ever told them the difference of! Brings a smile to my face every time.
We had so many inside jokes and sayings we'd laugh and laugh while doing jobs around the HSC, I couldn't have asked for a better partner.
I'll never be able to listen to Styx, Queen, Gowan, Little River Band, and the list goes on without thinking of all the memories of him dancing and playing air guitar or acting out playing the piano as the music played while we worked.
He was my work partner, friend, confidant, and as close to me as a family member. He was a great man who left everyone he met with wonderful memories and a smile on their face and he will be sorely missed.

Myles was a man of story; every time you pass Myles, he greeted you with a smile, told you a joke or, one of his many stories. Devastated by the sudden loss of our beloved Uncle Myles, my dad’s youngest brother. He lived life to the fullest and deeply loved his family and friends.
