Bishop Doris (Dot) nee Nagle
 
Passed peacefully away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on June 15th, 2024, age 94 years.
Predeceased by her husband Ray (2016) parents; Patrick and Laura, sisters: Irene and Genevieve, son in law:
Joe, grandson in law: Mark. Left with fond and precious memories her loving family; Joan (Bill), Don, Dave,
Doug, Deb, Daphne(Paul), grandchildren: Chris (Linda), Mark (Krista), Jeanna (Jonathan), Donnie, Amanda
(Jonathan), Adam, Madison, Shaundell (Kyle), Debbie, Laura, MaryBeth (Jason), Erin (Travis), Kyle (Samantha),
great grandchildren: Cody (Shea-lee), Zach, Allie, Caleb, Josie, Olivia, Benjamin, Levi, Jesse, Lucas. Great great
grandchildren Lilliana and Georgia. Also, Dot is survived by nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended
family and friends. Special thanks to Maxine and Alicia and community health nurse Janice for their kindness
and exceptional care.
In 1949 mom came to Long Pond and made this and the surrounding communities her home. She and Ray
started a business and raised six children. She was involved with many activities that her children and
grandchildren were a part of including CLB, Dance, Music and Hockey. Along with a busy personal life she was a
lifelong learner and a community volunteer. Mom was also involved in All Saints Parish and its activities, was a
lifetime member of Girl Guides, a volunteer with The Arthritis Society, the IODE and was a fundraiser
extraordinaire. Because of her volunteerism she was awarded a Citizen of the Year in CBS. She was very much
a people person.
Visitation in Hickeys Funeral Home 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Monday, June 17th,
2024 from 3-7PM. Funeral Service to take place in All Saint’s Anglican Church Foxtrap on Wednesday, June
19th, 2024 at 11AM. Internment in the Anglican Cemetery Church Road, Foxtrap. Donations in Dot’s memory
