To Mary, Kristen and George’s entire Family,
We are so saddened to hear of George’s passing. We were fortunate to have known George from not only church, but coming into our shop as well. When Emily was alive, it would mainly be her stopping by, whether it was to pick up something, for a chat or to drop us off a treat of her famous Partridgeberry tea buns and muffins. But there were many times she’d send George up too. If you didn’t know George, you’d almost think he was a stern man, but once you got him talking, that sly smile would peek out along with the twinkle in his eye. He loved a good chat and a laugh and of course we would torment him, but he gave it back just as good. He was forever known to us as “Choir Boy”, from his long stint in the All Saints Choir and though you might think he didn’t like that nickname, he certainly did. Every time we’d see him, whether in church, at the shop or out and about, he face lit up when we’d say “Hello Choir Boy!”
George was a faithful customer to our shop for many years, Kelly sang with him in the choir but most importantly he was a good friend. We hold so many special memories of George and hope that you’re treasured memories help bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead. George is now with his beloved Emily, his son and daughter and all the family who have past on before him. He will never be forgotten and will certainly be missed by us all. We’ll miss that sly smile, those twinkly eyes but most of all Choir Boys big heart.
