Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, January 29^th, 2024, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Carl of 63 years, son: Blaine, son-in-law: David Mercer, granddaughter: Lisa, parents: Hilda (Stokes) and Abner Blackwood, parents-in-law: Ewart and Minne Barefoot, brothers and their spouses: Peter (Edwina), Gus (Cherry), Joe (Alma), Leaze (Evelyn), Bob (Syretha), Ross (Gertie), sisters and their spouses: Stella (Ronald Roberts), Neta (Phillip Burry), Maude (Clarence Janes), brothers and sisters-in-law: Ada, Sophie, Cora (Snowden White), Barbara Lomax and Alma. Left to mourn with fond and precious memories her sons: Robert (Elsie), Phillip, daughters: Joan (Allan), Rhonda, grandchildren: Gary, Tracy (Mike), Kerri, Kayla (Cy), great-grandchildren: Piper, Joey, Liam, Aiden, sisters and brothers-in-law: Eleanor Blackwood, Elsie (Art Howell), Nina (Mike Cahill), Margaret (Roland Carter), Eric Barefoot, Claude Barefoot, Leo Barefoot. Also, a large circle of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, February 2^nd, 2024, from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 3^rd, 2024 at 1 pm. Interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
