My son, Matthew, and I got to know Dennis at he soccer field over the past few years and were happy to call him a friend.
Dennis and I would often spend time chatting at Isaac and Matthew’s games. We also shared some meals and some particularly good times with him, Isaac, and Kenna while at a soccer tournament in PEI last summer — including a very memorable and fun trip to the Sandspit Amusement Park with the kids!
Dennis liked to talk about sports in general (including hockey, soccer, and golf) but he really enjoyed talking about his kids and watching them play sports. He was extremely proud of Isaac and Kenna and how they are growing up with good values and manners, awesome personalities, and an amazing “always do your best” work ethic regarding both sports and life in general.
Isaac and Kenna, we know that you also have many fond memories of your father that you will cherish and take inspiration and strength from in the years that lie ahead. You should know that there are many other people in your lives who also care about you and who will always be there for you, including Matthew and me, if you ever need someone to talk to or need help with anything in the future. - Don & Matthew Clancy, Fredericton, NB.

I served with Mr. Eason in Latvia 2019. He took over as my supervisor half way through the deployment when I was in a dark place. He always had time to mentor his subordinates while maintaining a calm demeanour. Working for Mr. Eason greatly alleviated the stressors of the deployment while improving the overall quality of life. He was a leader who others could model after. He will be missed.
