I'm very sorry to hear about this. I also see that his dad Jim has also passed away. I am saddened by this......
I'm not sure if anyone will see this but Jim Nugent was adopted by my great-grandfather's sister, Jane Nugent (Kennedy) and her husband John Nugent.
If anyone sees this and has any information on Jane or the family please email me. I am trying to do genealogical research on this side of my family and it is proving to be very difficult.
