My dear cousin Una: I just learned the sad news that you have lost the love of your life, and it has made my heart so very heavy. I wish you strength during these dark days, and sincerely hope that there are yet some sunny skies in your immediate future. Your loving cousin, Marv Coates.
To the Pennell family, We just learned of Herb's passing and extend our sincere condolences. We knew Herb as a colleague at the Waterford Hospital. He was a kind man and always so helpful. We have very good memories of him. Paul Barrett (E2A) and Catherine Barrett
I have been out of town all weekend and just today received word of Herbs passing with much sadness. We have been life long friends and it is with a heavy heart that I pass along regretts from Catherine and I. Growing up in Paradise holds many wonderful memories and with Herbs passing it's just another piece of our great times that is slowly eroding as we grow older..our wish is that he is at peace . To the family......may you always keep him in your hearts and he will never be far away.

Una, I am so sorry to hear today of Herb's passing. I am so very very sad that he is gone. Only found out this afternoon...I have a lot of very fond memories, rest in peace " friend". You always made me smile.

My life has been blessed by having known Herb Pennell. A wonderfully generous, kind hearted, and funny man. Both he and Una have been so kind to me and Herb's loss will be so deeply felt by so many. Heaven is an even better place now that Herb is there. RIP Herb. John
