Obituary of Mary Nolan
NOLAN
Mary Magdalen
May 9, 1939 - August 20, 2017
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Mom was such a courageous woman who dealt with her illness with such grace and worried more about her family than herself always putting us first. Mom's entire life was devoted to her family and we are in awe of her will to live, her deep faith, determination and strength. We will miss her laugh and her silliness that was sometimes unexpected but always made us laugh. She is now at peace by Dad's side and together they will look after our family.
Predeceased by her loving husband Albert who she missed so much; infant son Michael; mother Nellie, who she thought of every day; father Michael Walsh; grandparents Catherine (Kate) and John Power; brothers Joe and Jim Walsh; Uncle Jim Power; brother in law Ron Harding and members of the Power, Walsh and Nolan families.
Loving and devoted children left behind with beautiful memories: Jackie (Walt) Hennessey; Roxanne (John) Baldwin; Perry (Dawn); Albert (Colleen), grandchildren she so adored and loved with all her heart Stephen (Laci), Shawn, Julianna (Darby), Kyle, Felicia (Danny), John Charles (Kerilyn), Mallory, Heather, Kayla, and Jillian. Precious great grandchildren who were the light of her life and gave her hope and laughter.
Devoted sister who was always by her side Theresa Harding; sister in laws: Laura Nolan and Kaye Walsh and their families. Also remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A huge thank you to Dr. Hurley and team, the amazing nurses, staff and volunteers at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, for taking such great care of Mom. You are all so gifted; your professionalism and kindness gave Mom comfort and made her feel special and safe. There are no words to describe how special you all are. A special thank you to Dr. Barry Rose who cared for Mom for so many years, mom treasured their friendship and thought of Barry as family.
