Left this world to join his wife Nellie and his Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Thursday, May 10th, 2012 aged 80 yrs. A proud veteran of the Korean War and a former Assistant Superintendent of HMP Salmonier. Leslie was predeceased by his wife Nellie, parents Henry & Jesse Petten, infant son Gary, brothers: Wilson (Jean), Isaac (Lena), Wallace (Dorothy), Henry, George, sisters: Mary Porter (Noah), Lucy Boren (Bill), and Jessie Sherman. Brother-in-law, Charles Butler. Leaving with loving memories his children Roslyn Moore (Terry), Leslie (Pam), Beverly Arnott (Don), Glenn (Heather Yetman), Jeanette Coulstring (Bill) and Susan Poole (Keith). Twelve grandchildren: Lesley Ann Thomson (Chris), Greg Moore (Ashley Power), Bradley Learning (Mandy), Cheryl Dorn (Shane), Mark Arnott (Shauna Peddle), Daniel, Jonathan, Melissa, Meghan, April, James, Adam, Caelan and Shannon. Five great-grandchildren: Keegan, Connor, Ethan, Ava and James. Sisters: Joan Jefford, Laura Butler, Violet Barnes (Ted), Evelyn Dunn (Larry). Brothers: Stanley (Margaret), Hayden (June). Sisters-in-law: Alma Petten, Jean Petten, Mable Butler. Brothers-in-law Henry Hutchings, Ronald Hutchings (Margaret), and Gary Sherman. Special friends: Bernice Butler, Ella Abbott and Alison Murphy. A large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday from 2 - 9 pm, Saturday from 10 - 9 pm. Funeral service in All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 2 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn's Hill Road, Foxtrap. Flowers gratefully accepted.
