Obituary of Michael Richards

Michael Joseph Richards (September 2, 1923 — March 7, 2017) Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family, at his home in Paradise on March 7, 2017, Michael Joseph Richards, age 93 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose, his sister Marie and husband Marcel Corbeil, brother-in-law Edward Nugent, and a lovely great-granddaughter Montana Delorey. He leaves to mourn with loving memories his wife Mona (nee Dawson) of 64 years; his sister Bess Nugent; sons John (Diane), Bill (Diane), Ron (Linda), Fred (Yvonne), Michael (Janet), Paul, and Joe (Charlene); daughters Rita (David), and Rosann; his brothers-in-law Fred, Bill (Irene), and Ron (Alice); his sisters-in-law Margaret, Loretta, and Rita. His 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren are left with fond and loving memories of this gentle and kind man. He also leaves to mourn his long-time friends Bill and Muriel Kennedy, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A special thank you to his very supportive home-care worker Michelle. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews, CBS on Wednesday & Thursday from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10 am from Holy Family Church, Paradise. Interment to follow at St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery, Topsail. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to Holy Family Parish, Paradise.
