Obituary of Kevin Chaytor

Chaytor, Kevin Charles Kevin was a wonderful man who always graced those who loved him with positivity, determination and a great sense of humor. He used these traits and the support of his family, to fight a 10 year battle with cancer that took him to the next life on February 26th 2017 in his 69th year. He was predeceased by loving parents Ned and Bertha as well as siblings David, Henry and Helen. Kevin's wife of 49 years, Brenda (nee Larkin), is left with cherished memories of her husband, partner, and best friend. He felt great pride for his children Shelley (Crystal), Jeffery (Tammy), and Darrell (Maureen) and adored and treasured his wonderful grandchildren Stephen, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Joshua and Bailey. Also left to mourn this great man are his brothers Don, Clarence (Sylvia), Fred (Sharon), and Paul, and sisters Barb Dawe (Kevin), Mary Lambert (Lindy), Marie, and sister-in-law Bev, as well as brother-in-law and buddy Jack Larkin (Vicki), sisters-in-law Joan Cleary (Bill), Donna Dawe (Burnie), Betty Dawe, Peg O'Brien, and brother-in-law Jed Tilley, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. He is also loved by special friends Felix and Rose Nieves. Kevin's family also wish to thank Dr. Thompkins, the ATP staff, and the Palliative Care Team. Resting at Hickey's Funeral Home, Kelligrews, Wednesday, March 1st from 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm, 7pm-9pm. Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Manuel's on Thursday, March 2nd at 10 am. Interment to follow in the RC Cemetery in Topsail. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations can be made to The Daffodil Place.
