Aunt Joan and Family We want you to know that we are very sorry for your loss. Although we cannot be there, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Doug was a wonderful man and will be missed dearly. We remember Doug at our wedding 25 years ago and the fun he had wearing a sombrero that he found at the reception. I also have memories of out jigging with him and a storm came up. The boat went up in the air and came down so hard that the bench we were sitting on split in half. I remember the look of suprise ,that funny expression on his face as his eyebrows raised and the big laugh that we had about it later. These are just a couple of good times I remember but there are so many more.We love you and will miss you Uncle Doug. Rest in Peace and may God bless you and your family.

Joan and Family-- We are so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Doug. It was a shock. Doug came often to visit Dad while he was sick. Now two of them are up in Heaven chatting about old times. Dad is catching up on the news. Doug will be missed terribly by everyone. Keep His memories going. I know there are many of them. If you need anything Joan-- please call. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Michelle, Warren, Phyllis and Robert Cable

I was very saddened to hear of Doug's passing, I am sure you are all in a state of shock as am I. My heart is there with you all and I have been thinking about you since Mom called me yesterday with the news. I was thinking back to the taxi days when Doug and I would fight over who would get the longest trips and then meet at Tim Hortons for coffee afterwards, (he would always buy because He always got the longer trips). A smile comes to my face when I remember how wonderful he looked dressed up and I would say to him "what's up Doug, you driving the Limo tonight" we would laugh at that. , He looked after me on those long nights driving the taxi and I was never afraid when Doug was on the shift with me. He was always only a call away. I am proud to call him my friend, I will treasure every memory and I will miss him dearly. My heart is there with you all and I will talk to you soon. Love to all Sylvia
