Wheeler, Dorothy Rebecca (Bursey) Pearce
The Mira, passed away peacefully on October 14,2008 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born December 2,1916 in Old Perlican, NL, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Ellen (Ash) Bursey. She lived the majority of her life in St.John's and Long Pond, NL moving to Nova Scotia for three years after the death of her second husband, Ralph Wheeler to live with her daughter, Lorraine. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Lorraine (Pearce) Baird, Lornvale, NS, Arlene (Pearce) Penny, Dartmouth, NS, Charlie Pearce, Brampton, ON; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; brother, George (Juta) Bursey; sister, Maisie Merton; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Bursey, Betty Bursey; many nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Charles Pearce; her second husband, Ralph Wheeler; brothers, Fred, Gerald, Donald, Clyde, James; sister, Florence Parizeault; brothers-in-law, Jack Merton, Roland Parizeault; son-in-law Basil Baird. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service in All Saint's Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Monday, October 20,2008 at 11AM. Internment in the Anglican Cemetery, Foxtrap.
