You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. We love you Nanny and so thankful for the years we had please sen mom hugs and kisses to heaven

On the night that Evelyn died, my husband, Craig received a telephone call from his father. Gerald explained that Nan Pynn's health had continued to decline over the last 24 hours and that her time left with us was short. My husband promptly finished dinner with his family and started getting ready to leave to see his Nan. Max, our 2 1/2 year old son, said, " Where are you going Daddy?". "I'm going to visit Nanny Pynn". Max said,"I'm going to go too" and went to get his boots. We explained that Max could not go, as Nanny Pynn was not feeling well. "Oh," Max said, looking disappointed. That night Max seemed affected by something. He was quiet, tired---not at all like himself. In the morning, Craig went in to Max's bedroom. The first thing that Max said was, "Is Nanny Pynn feeling better?" Craig said, "Yes Max, much better. She is with God and Poppy Pynn." "That's good" said Max. Thoughout the day, he would repeat that Nanny was with God and that this was good. I can't help but agree. I recognise that the loss is a profound one, but I like to think that Evelyn was ready. Max and I believe that she is feeling much much better now.

mothers garden" My Mother kept a garden, a garden of the heart, She planted all the good things that gave my life it's start. She turned me to the sunshine and encouraged me to dream, Fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem... And when the winds and rain came, she protected me enough-- But not too much because she knew I'd need to stand up strong and tough. Her constant good example always taught me right from wrong-- Markers for my pathway that will last a lifetime long. I am my Mother's garden. I am her legacy- And I hope today she feels the love reflected back from me Author unknown

I've dreaded this time for years. She was the best of mothers. There will always be a void in my heart with her gone. Mom, I'll always love you.
