Obituary of David Richard Young

Young, David Richard It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of David Richard Young, born October 25, 1949. He fought a brave battle with cancer but lost that battle on November 18, 2015. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Belinda Young, brothers Reginald and Arnold, sisters Blanche, Jean, Mary and Mona, brother-in-law Cecil Fewer. Left to mourn his passing - his wife Marlene (Fewer) Young, daughters Stacey, Shannon, Danielle, and Charley (their mother Phyllis). Step-sons Wayne (Robin) Lush, Matthew and Curtis Lush. Grandchildren Riley, Ava, Savannah, Emma, Claire, and Hilary. Brothers Leslie (Nina) and Heber (Yvonne). Sisters Linda (Paul) Howard, Joan (Ken) McCue, Marilyn (Kitch) Power and Geraldine Wiseman. Special nephew Rick (Tammy) Barry. Cousin Freeman Young. Sisters-in-law Beverly (Rick) Dalton, Marie (Paul) Fewer, Robin Fewer. Also leaving to mourn are numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and his little canine buddy Gibbs. At Dave's request, cremation has take place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 2 pm - 8:30 pm follow by a prayer service open to all family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Down Syndrome Society.
