Passed peacefully away at the St. John's Long Term Care Facility in the presence of her family at 5:38 am. Predeceased by her husbands Clarence Porter and Luther (Jack) Emeigh, daughters Donna and Linda, her mother and father Roseanna and Samuel Harding, brothers Larry, Max , Frank and baby sister Evelyn. Also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She continues her goodness and kindness even after death, by signing on many years ago to have her body donated to science, and in her words, "maybe somebody can learn something from my old frame". A celebration and thanksgiving of her life will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2 - 4 pm from where a Memorial Service will take place at 3:30 pm in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc. Words can not possibly describe the compassion, care, love (and fun) she received while at Admirals Coast Retirement Centre and then at the St. John's Long Term Care Facility in Pleasantville. Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts to the amazing staff of 2NE for the year she was with you and these last few weeks the staff of 4NW. This journey was made so much better because of you.
