Agatha Mary McGrath (Aggie) Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and aunt, Agatha Mary McGrath, affectionately known as Aggie, passed peacefully away on January 10th, 2025, at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander, NL. Aggie was born on August 14th, 1943, in St. Catherine’s, NL. Aggie was preceded in death by her father, Francis Walsh; her mother, Mary Walsh; her sister, Elizabeth Flood; her brother, Edward Walsh; her son, Ronnie McGrath; and the father of her children, Joseph McGrath. She leaves behind to mourn her brothers, Frank, Bren, and George Walsh; her sons, Terry (Brenda), Daryl (Shelley), Joey (Nicola); her daughters, Bonita (Ron), Roxanne (Al), Kim (Gerry), Marlene (Ken); and her daughter-in-law, Ramona. Additionally, she is survived by her precious grandchildren, Zack, Ryan, Chris, Kelsie, AJ, Steph, Brigitte, Melina, Shilo, Ashtion, Ayeisha, Asiyah, Callum, Tiarnan, Naoise, and great-grandchildren, Kohl, Myles, Weston, Noella, Masen, Raya, who were the purest joy in her life, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Aggie was a hard-working woman who dedicated her life to raising her children. She was an avid walker and enjoyed playing darts and bowling. Known for her vibrant personality, she loved a good scuff, a hearty laugh, and being on the receiving end of a good joke. Her dry sense of humor brought joy to those around her and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her passion for helping others was evident in everything she did, and she was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, especially if you needed a ride to a medical appointment. Always on the go, her love for driving was unmatched, as long as she was going forward! On behalf of Aggie’s family and friends, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Paulis and all the nurses and staff on the medical floor at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander, NL, for their compassionate care.
