August 1st, 1951 – November 9th, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Herbert Issacce Haines of Kelligrews, at his home surrounded by his loving family on November 9th in his 73rd year.
Herb was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a dedicated member of the Prince of Orange Lodge and the Foxtrap L.O.L. Band.
Herb was a retired mechanic from the Department of Transportation, and in his spare time he loved farming, fishing and hunting.
Predeceased by his parents: Frank and Annie Haines, siblings: Elizabeth Diamond (Bill), Billy, Frank, Jim (Bernice), Alfred, Graham, brothers-in-law: Edgar Peach, Ern Fagan, sister-in-law: Margaret Haines, parents-in-law: John and Kathleen Hynes, brothers-in-law: Bernard, Tom, sister-in-law: Rose.
Leaving with loving memories, his devoted wife of 49 years: Margie (nee Hynes), daughters: Cathy Martin (Richard), Vicki Young (Monroe), his grandchildren whom he adored: Will, Alex, Grace, Jack and Eric.
Brothers: Reg (Mary), Leslie and Ted, sisters: Phyllis Warford (Charlie), Marguerite DeGruchy (Edwin), Marion Kennedy (Eldred), Ruby Fagan, Linda Peach, Marilyn Hale (Jim), sisters-in-law: Marion, Jeanette and Yvonne Haines, Betty White (Ches), Mary Wall (Leo), Marilyn Hynes (Claude), brother-in-law: Jerry Hynes (friend Helen). Also, numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, from 3 – 7 pm. Funeral service in All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, at 11 am.
