To the Hynes family,
I met Vera when I started a clinical placement at the Pavilion. I later started volunteering at therapeutic recreation there, where Vera would come for bingo on Tuesdays.
I knew Vera as a very quiet and sweet woman. It brought me so much joy to sit and have a chat with her while she ate her breakfast. She had such a calming presence, and I will never forget her smile. It would light up her whole face, and it would make my day to see it. It is safe to say that I will never look at a bag of cheesies and pepsi again without thinking of Vera.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I hope that these memories of Mrs. Hynes helps to bring you some comfort during this difficult time. ❤️

To dear friend Don, Glenn and your families. So sad to hear of your mom's passing. Such a sweet, soft-spoken lady, who was always a pleasure to chat with. No matter how much time passed between our seeing each other, we always seemed to behave like it was yesterday. Such a gentle soul. To Don and Glen so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Myself and Ambrose were great friends with your parents. We played a lot of card on the weekends and did a lot of dancing at the Legion. Don, Glenn and families, I was deeply saddened to read the passing of your Mom, we as a family had such great memories of visiting your families home during Christmas especially. Your Mom and Dad were wonderful people, and held a special part in our hearts. I remember Dad and I delivering my wedding invitation to your parents home, and at that time your Dads disease was worsening and they couldn’t attend. Sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Vera’s family. Vera and my sister Joan (Barnes Sears) had been friends since they were teenagers. Joan passed on July 24 of this year.
A few years ago, Joan and Vera used to come here to play cards weekly. We had some good times together. Blessings on all of you.TPR
