It is indeed with a heavy heart to send my condolences to Uncle Wall's family - Aunt Annie, Keith, Eric, Kim and respective families.
I remember growing up on Bussey's road and one of the favorite places to visit was Uncle Wall's and Aunt Annie's. Throughout the years I can think back and bring to mind many memories - Uncle Wall building his house - I was but a young lad who was curious how the house got built and was more of a nuisance I am sure. But I remember watching Uncle Wall nail the boards and he even let me hammer a few though I missed more than I hit! Then years latter I saw him overseeing Keith build his house. I can still see him watching Keith dig the foundation for a new home on the road. The time flies by!
His contagious laugh and joyful character was always fun to be around. Every time I got to visit home, over the years, I made sure to say hello. Back in July of this year when I visited I was happy to see him and Aunt Annie again but of course even then it was very obvious that he was unwell. I feared that I would soon learn of his passing and while I did - it was still a shock. The end of an era of seeing him around the road is a lot to take in.
Lots of cherished memories. Blessings to the family as you fondly remember your unforgettable Wall!

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Wally's passing. Always a gentleman during any interactions I had with him over the years. I will always associate Stompin' Tom Connors (and in particular, The Ketchup Song and Bud the Spud songs) with your home. When Tony and I were babysitting for you many moons ago, we wore that record out listening to it over and over.
