My condolences on Eleanor’s passing. I will miss her coming into the post office to mail her letters and telling me she’s been in her office! She was a beautiful soul inside and out. Always a kind word and a lovely smile. She will be dearly missed.

I am so sad to hear we lost Aunt Puss. She and uncle Les remembered and showed up for us on every special occasion. She was so welcoming and loving and kind but what I remember most was both of us making each other laugh. I loved her humour. I hope there is an abundance of pusses in heaven. Rest easily Aunt Eleanor, you will always be missed. xo

We cannot believe that Puss is gone! She was a fantastic neighbour and would let us know anytime the garage door was left open inadvertently. Puss always remembered everyone’s birthday and the boys knew she would never forget them. To the entire family our heartfelt condolences. She will be greatly missed by us all.

Eleanor was the first person we met when we moved to Topsail fifty four years ago. She was such a kind person, always greeted you with a smile and had a great sense of humor. Eleanor will be missed in the entire community. Always cheerful and had time to say hello. I would see her often on her morning routine . To the store for her newspaper, stop at the post office, drop off to Hilda's on the way home. Always waved hello if she passed by. She will be missed by all. My condolences.

Aunt Eleanor was the kindest, sweetest, most gentle person. We loved visiting her and uncle Les when we were children and visiting her many pusses that hung around their home. And I will always remember her bringing her famous Christmas Eve raisin bread… so special. Seeing them on Christmas Eve was always a highlight for my family.

To the Somerton Family, I was so sorry to hear of Eleanor’s passing. Her quick death came as quite a surprise as I saw her in Sept. and she seemed to be doing pretty well. Eleanor was a great sister in law who was loved by our whole family. I don’t remember anyone ever saying a bad word about her. My condolences to you all. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Love to All Gerry
