Obituary of Florence Porter

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday June 8^th 2024 surrounded by her loving family, Florence Porter (Hiscock) aged 84 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Leslie of 60 years and members of the Porter and Hiscock families. Leaving to mourn her daughter(s) and best friend Sylvia Upshall (Terry), Sandra Petten (Tony), Lorraine Smith (Jeff), Diana Upshall (George), Beverly (Calvin) and her only son Jim (Mona). Also left to mourn are her 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and special nephew Derrick (Donna).

Mom loved trouting, berry picking, sawing, splitting wood. She kept her woodstove heating her home until just last week. She was a quick and witty women and nobody would ever get over her time. She had a tremendous memory and could recall things right back to her childhood. She will be missed.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home 570 Conception Bay Highway on Monday, June 10^th 2024 at 3-7PM. Funeral Service to take place in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 11^th 2024 at 11AM.
