Paul, Meaghan, Sarah and family,
Gary and are were shocked to hear about Anns passing. We are so deeply sorry for your loss and the loss to all of us in the neighbourhood. Ann has been a wonderful friend and neighbour to us and my parents for 4 decades. She helped Dad and Mom with virtually everything from nursing care and taking care of their home as she did for us for the past seven years.
Ann was always available with a helping hand whether it was watching out to greet someone arriving while we were not there, to helping with plant care and advice. She cared and worried about everyone and was a very empathetic soul. We will miss her terribly.
We wish we could be there in person to offer our condolences or even a phone call. We are currently in Asia and have no cell service and limited email.
Love and sympathy to you all.

To Paul, Meghan, Sarah and all the Cardoulis Family
Needless to say it was quite a shock to hear of Ann’s sudden passing on Monday. So many thoughts run through one’s mind as you try to recall memories of the person.
My earliest memory of Ann is at the Cardoulis home on Brookfield Rd. and out by the pool.
I was there because Ann’s eldest brother, Peter had fallen in love with my sister, Gail. I was lucky enough to be brought along to various gatherings.
I can picture Ann’s tiny but strong body diving into the water and running around the garden.
And who wouldn’t have been happy in that garden.
I felt blessed to get to go to that park like setting with people everywhere and the doors in constant motion as so many came and went.
Because Ann was only 2 years older than me, I gravitated to her and always felt part of the gang.
We also shared the memory of being miniature bridesmaids for Gail and Peter’s wedding. How proud we were.
My times with Ann over the years would mostly be at Gail and Peter’s Christmas open house and I remember how much Ann loved to laugh. If I recall, she had a dry sense of humour.
I remember both times when she became a mom and I know how important doing that job right meant to her.
We never saw each other very often over the years but of course I knew what was going on her life through the stories from my sister.
I also know the Cardoulis family have gathered for same month birthdays for several years now. I am so so sorry that you’ve now had to say goodbye to another of your siblings and those gatherings will once again be different.
But as in the past, there will be new generations to join and follow with the traditions.
Paul, Meghan and Sarah, You were lucky to have been loved by Ann. Allow your friends and family to support you in whatever ways you need.
As Mabel (mom) would say to you all… God Bless!
Kathy
