Edna Olive (Morgan) Rideout
September 19th, 1947 – January 31st, 2024
Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her mother and father: Alice and Henry Morgan, mother and father-in-law: Abilgail and Joseph Rideout, brothers-in-law: Edgar Rideout, Winston Tilley, Rodger Caines, Cyril Fitzgerald, Fred King, Calvin Petten and Maxwell Rideout and sisters-in-law: Lillian King and Sandra Morgan.
Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Gerald, her beloved sons: Rick and Rod (Lynette), her precious grandchildren: Katelyn, Allison, Andrew and Megan.
Edna will be missed by her brothers: Ernie (Joyce), Angus (Sandy), Ian, Harvey (Linda), Lorne (Pauline), Ross (Yvonne) and Glenn (Cindy), her sisters: Myrtle Petten and Valda Rideout, her sisters-in-law: Caroline Peach (Ferness), Dinah Fitzgerald and Enid Tilley, special caregiver and friend: Ann Marie Eason and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Iqbal, nurses and staff of 4 West at St. Clare’s for taking exceptional care of Edna. Thank you to Rev. Irene Sutton and Rev. David Pillings for their comforting prayers for Edna and her family.
Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, from 10 – 2 pm and 4 – 8 pm. Funeral service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, at 1 pm. Interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
