Florence Morgan (nee Deering) mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed peacefully away with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the age of 93.
Born May 14, 1930, in Victoria, Newfoundland to Elizabeth & Arthur Deering, she was one of 13 children.
Predeceased by husband George (1971), daughter Betty (2005), son Richard (2014), grandchildren Michael (1978) and Pamela (1983) LeGrow, as well as brothers and sisters.
Florence is survived by loving daughter Deborah (Edwin) LeGrow, daughter in-law Carrie Morgan. Granddaughters Lori Morgan, Krista Morgan, Christine Brinson (Gordon). Great-grandchildren, Morgan & Harrison Robbins, Jack & Evan Bradley, special furry great-grand son Eddy. Her one remaining sibling, sister, Elsie Reid, as well as special nieces, Glenys Penner and Michelle St. George and other relatives and friends.
We would like to extend our love and gratitude to the staff of 3 West at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. We will never be able to thank you enough for the care and compassion shown to Mom (Flossie) and our family, especially this last week. You made it easy to visit and to leave because we knew that she was getting the best of care. You are all true angels, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, CBS on Sunday, October 29th, 2023, from 3-7 pm. Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 30th, 2023, at 11 am from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Gullies. Interment in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
