Kelly, Henry, Jane and family, we are so deeply sorry for your loss. Spencer was indeed a wonderful person and if everyone could take just one of his personality traits the world would continue to be a better place. He was such a joy to be around and all the hockey kids loved him. When Henry was on the same team as Owen, Spencer was always there first and made sure the kids had their play list on. Sending lots of hugs to you all. God bless.

Sometimes words alone cannot express the heartbreak felt by others on the passing of someone that meant the world to close friends. This is one of those times.
Kelly, we remember fondly our times spent together when you and your sisters were just little girls. We will always cherish those days. For you and Henry to be going through this now grieves us immensely.

Winsor family:
Messages of sympathy are never easy to write, especially to family. It has been several years since either of us have been together, but family bonds are still there.
However, we are genuinely sorry to hear about your loss and offer our heartfelt sympathy to the whole family. Although we knew Spencer had been sick for a while, our entire family hoped he would pull through. Although we had a significant loss some time ago, that doesn’t mean we know what your family is going through.
Every relationship is different, and every loss we suffer is unique. Still, we hope you know we are always here to listen if you want to talk.
We are so sorry for your loss and share in your sorrow; remember that although things are dark today, there is always a brighter tomorrow.
Again, we are so sorry and ask that you accept our deepest sympathies.

I am saddened to hear of Spencer's passing. He was my student, someone of whom I have many great memories. One of the poems we would have studied was John Donne's 'No Man Is an Island' and one of the lines is so poignant right now- '... any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind.' One of the memories for me in particular involves the Cross of St. George. Every so often in class we would come across something that would pique our interest and require further investigation. For some reason, there was a flag in the classroom, a flag of the Cross of St. George. Spencer questioned why it was hanging there and what the symbolism of it meant. I told him I would ask him next class to answer that - and answer it he did, in a way that left an impression on me for life. He was eloquent, thorough, and totally nonchalant. I loved his stories of restoring the car, how Santa Clause arrived in Florida or how he had to be 'rescued' in the Gulf Stream. His love of family, his zest for life, and his volunteerism were evident at a very young age and obviously things he carried into adulthood. His obit tells of a life well lived. God speed, Spencer.

Kelly, Henry and Jane words cannot express how sorry we are to hear about Spencer's passing. Spencer was the kindest, sweetest man who was so devoted to his family. As you know for years he cleared our driveway of snow, sometimes before his own, shovelled our steps, mowed our lawn. Whatever we needed and did it with a heart in a hand. Quiet but always a smile. Our hearts ache for you. May you always feel him close, watching over you. He was the best. Deepest sympathy.

We haven’t stopped thinking of you all. We will hold and cherish all our good times, all our rink victories and beautiful memories that were erected from hockey near and dear to our hearts.
