To Donnie and Charlene and all of Charlies beloved family:
Please accept our most sincere condolences on Charlie's passing. We have great memories of visiting Charlie and Madonna with John and Aggie Scott. Of course. I wasn't through the door when Charlie would start picking on me, one way or another. But it was all in good fun. Loads of laughter and stories along with a libation or two. I well remember Donnies come home party when he returned from Afghanistan. A very proud moment for his parents. I think I went missing for 2 days. I did a feature story on Donnie as we did for all soldiers who served in Afghanistan. Charlie was very happy about that and thanked me over and over. So now goes another great man. I bet he's trying to sell a pig or vegetables to the first person he met at the pearly gates. Rest in peace Charlie and enjoy eternity with Madonna and all those who have gone before you.

If ever there was a fellow who would put a smile on your face , it was Charlie .......along with his beautiful wife Madonna it was a pleasure everytime you would meet them .......even in the saddest of times he would brighten up the day , so imagine what it was like in the good times ......He had some wonderful back-up in life ....His beautiful wife , His children ,His father and mother , His siblings , His lodge families , His in-laws ( and i dare say some out-laws ),and all his customers on the Burin Peninsular and of course the many , many friends he had. Sincere condolences to all of Charlie’s family, he will will known on the Burin Peninsula delivering his vegetables.
He spent many nights at mom and dads ( Everett and Jean Walters) in Boat Harbour, and we visited your mom and dad many times. Always a few laughs.
Your dad came to Boat Hr for dads funeral and played his horn, dad would have been so happy to know he was there.
