Obituary of Sharon Walsh

Sharon Walsh (nee Crawley)

Sharon passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after a long illness. Sharon Walsh (Crawley), formerly of Holyrood, Kelligrews & Fort Saskatchewan, was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Bernie, and her oldest son Terry, as well brother Patrick Crawley and and her parents, Elizabeth & William Crawley. 

Left with many amazing memories of Sharon are her son Kurt (Tara) and their children, Rachel & Avery; daughter-in-law Kristina Walsh and her children Alex, Reese and Rylan, sister Rose Goobie (Robert - deceased) brothers Gordon (Helen) & Gerald (Joan), sister-in-law Sheila, many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Sharon had a smile for everyone and was full of fun and mischief. Her favourite pastime was spending time with friends and family, and she was also an avid baker, gardener, dog lover and hockey fan - whether it was her own sons or her five grandchildren who all played hockey. Anyone who spent time in Sharon’s company can attest to her kind and generous heart. 

The family wishes to extend a huge thank you to the loving & caring staff at Northwood longterm care facility where she resided for the past three years.

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Carol Ann & staff at Hickey’s Funeral home for their compassion, support and guidance during this difficult time.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, September 22^nd, 2023, from 11 – 1:30 pm. Funeral service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 22^nd, 2023, at 2 pm. Interment in St. Edward’s Cemetery, Kelligrews.
