It's hard to think that Mandy won't be next door with a smile and a hello like she always did. It was no trouble to tell the love the whole family had for each other. Mandy fought such a hard battle but always did so with a smile ! I'm so so sad to hear this news. Mandy really was just one of the most lovely souls I ever met. We worked together at Sunrise Animal Hospital quite a while ago. I've worked with and met many people and she was absolutely unforgettable. Honestly her obituary is spot on from what I've known of her; she really was such a light.. full of goodness and love, with the perfect sprinkling of dark humor that really was the cherry on top.
There are people you meet who you just know are pure, humble and real.. who would do anything to help anyone or any critter in need, and never making anyone feel less than for any reason ever.
The world is absolutely a darker place without her in it. But I have zero doubts that with her presence and tenacity, she will always be around all of those who love and care for her.
Sending so much love to Patricia (I remember meeting you as well and quickly recognizing where Mandy received her lovely qualities) and all of her loved ones. I really hope you can find some peace and feel all the love everyone is sending your way.

I am so terribly sorry to read of this. I loved working with Amanda - she was bright, committed and a wonderful addition to our team. I have stayed in touch and followed her journey with my heart in my mouth, always marvelling (but not surprised) at her fearlessness, humour and positivity, even in the face of grave diagnosis and constant setbacks. I could not imagine how her tiny body could take any more, and although she will be greatly missed as a bright, creative and loving presence in so many lives, I am grateful that her mighty struggle is over and her spirit is free to soar to ever new and endless heights.
