To The Bursey Family,
It is with deep sadness we pass along our condolences to you all on Bill’s passing. He was a wonderful man who certainly left his mark on those he met. We were lucky enough to have known Bill not only through his work but ours as well. Bill was a long time customer of ours and would frequent the shop 2-3 times a week, especially for his weekly stock up of eggs and Bolonga. He would always make sure that it was cut nice and thick, just the way he liked it. He’d always stick around for a chat and a few laughs, or a story or two about his recent travels or his truck, he loved his trucks!
While no words will help make this difficult time any easier, just know that we are all thinking of you and sending along lots of strength and prayers. We hope that the special memories you each have, help comfort you in the days ahead.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. My condolences to the Bursey family. All my memories of Bill are good and some that make me laugh. I remember a few camping trips our two families did when I was young and Bills laughing always drew my attention it was so infectious..I wanted to know what was so funny and more times then not I was too young to understand the joke…which in hindsight probably made everything funnier and him laugh more. Your Dad was a lovely man and I believe he lived his life well… take care of each other.

I first met Bill when I was 9 years old in 1959. He would have been about 16. My first memory of Bill was him driving me around St John's in a Fort Amherst fish delivery truck full of metal trays on steel shelves. One of the shelves toppled over when we turned a corner too fast. The noise of the crash behind us in the open truck made us jump near through the roof. But boy did we have a good laugh afterwards. Thanks to Bill I found out 28 years later that we shared the same mother and were actually brothers. I am fortunate to have spent many happy times with Bill and his family over the last 36 years. I will miss him and will always remember him as my much loved big brother.

My thoughts are with The Bursey family at this time.
I have been very fortunate to know Bill for the last 25 plus years and went on many snowmobile trips with Bill; his son Rod; grandson Mitchell; and son-in-law Rod Cable. Bill was all about family, and I can say that us 3 outsiders on these trips were treated like family as well.
Bill was always up for some fun and adventure; he loved out exploring the trails. He enjoyed having a good laugh and made sure we got our fair share of laughs as well. There was never a dull moment and it has made for lots of stories and great memories from these trips! Memories with Bill will never fade.

We sure enjoyed Bill company here at our cabin and our visits to his cabin …there was always laughter and lots of great stories.
