Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park in St. John’s on Monday, April 24th age 82 years. Julia resided in Conception Bay South for most of her life, until her final years in the wonderful care from the staff at Chancellor Park. Alongside her husband Mack, she was very active in the community, and could often be found working fundraisers, attending social events and supporting the local CBS Lions Club. Her infectious energy and laughter could light up any room or any card table. She is predeceased by her loving husband: Malcolm, wonderful son: Jeffrey, sister: Joyce (Fred) and brothers-in-law; Don and Len. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Brenda (Peter) in Gander, Barbara (Rod) in St. John’s, Cheryl (Jeff) in New York and daughter-in-law: Shelley in Ontario; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, brother: William (Pearl) and sisters: Marjorie and Maxine. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Thursday, May 25th, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral service in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail on Friday, May 26th, 2023 at 11 am. Interment to follow alongside Mack at the Anglican Cemetery in Topsail.
