Obituary of Dorothy Halliday

Dorothy Joyce Halliday (Nee Chaytor) 1928-2022

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear mother on December 4^that the age of ninety-four, as we sadly celebrate her long and meaningful life. Dorothy (Dot) is predeceased by Albert, her husband of sixty years and her infant son John. Left to commemorate her life are her son Robert and wife (Marie-Christine), children Gaelle and Sebastien, her daughter Donna Meeker and husband (Steven),children Curtis and Gregory, and her son David and wife (Leighann), children Briahnna and Keyghan, as well asherfive great grandchildren. Also left in sadness is her brother Robert Chaytor and her sister Audrey Petten, husband (Clifford) and their families. Dorothy will be remembered for all that she gave to others as she dedicated a lifetime to the care of elderly people in a Home for Long-term Care. We plan to reflect on her life at a later date when our brother David is able to join us from away. The family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the personnel of Glenbrook Lodge for the love and comfort they gave her during her final days, and for the closeness we felt as we shared hugs and tears in her final moments. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service in Hickey's Memorial Chapel, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 at 2 pm.
