I am so saddened to hear of Doreens passing. She was a bright spot in our every day when she worked on our Palliative Care Unit. she was an instant friend to all of us who had the pleasure of working with her. However her love of people and the joy she radiated was a true gift to the patients and families under our care. So many looked forward to her visits and not to have their room cleaned, but to lift their spirits and make them smile. Many times families returned to the unit with a token of thanks for us nurses but a special card or gift just for Doreen. She was a special part of our team we are better to have known her. She will be missed

Our condolences go to all of you during this difficult time. Doreen’s memory will be with all us for the rest of our lives. Every Christmas we will be with her as the kids stockings are hung. Visits to newfoundland just won’t be the same. Aunt Doreen will be greatly missed.

It was so heartbreaking to hear the news of Doreen’s passing. It was a shock. Sending condolences to Dennis, Stephanie and extended families.
Doreen was a beautiful , hardworking, kind & generous lady. When we ran into each other she always spoke of Stephanie and her grandson. She loved going to see them. We always had such fun at the Fortune Bay Dance every year . Doreen always made sure Claude had one of Mary’s scalded buns and he loved them. Missed you Doreen this year at the dance. The memories I have of you Doreen in school are as vivid today as they were back then. Such fun and laughs we had. In our hearts and prayers. Until we all meet again.

Doreen I worked very close together at the Miller center for while. She became like a second mother to me. I loved her to bits. My heart is breaking for you all. She had this smile that she carried around with her no matter what her day was like. Dennis and Stephaine was her life and has for Sam oh my god did she every love him. He meant the world too her.
