My memories of Uncle Chico are scatter here and there, more recently it is 2am phone calls to tell me to have a drink and that he loved us (I'm sure my Mom or Dad were behind those calls).
But my greatest memory of Uncle Chico is one when I was 9ish or so and he had taken me for a ride in his truck when he was working with Day&Ross. I don't remember specifics, I just remember smiling ear to ear and being so very happy.
Another great memory is staying at his and Aunt Evelyn's place for a few days (I might've been 12)...it wasn't much it was just the fealing of being made at home. Uncle Chico had a heart bigger then anyone I know. I only knew him through cards, phone calls, and the visits to Nfld every two years (or so) but I imagine those few visits weren't rare occasions of him opening is heart and home to me, only BECAUSE it was a rare visit, I think he would have done it for me ANY time. I know I didn't see him as much as I would've liked but I'll miss him all the same.
