Obituary of Kathleen Marie Galway

Galway , Kathleen Marie(Lane) Surrounded by her loving family, Kathleen Marie Galway (Lane) quietly left the world on June 27th, 2010. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Gerald, brothers, Hugh Hibbs and Francis and John Delahunty, sisters, Margaret Kent, Mary Hawco and Betty Miller. After a life full of meaning, Kathleen leaves with lasting love and treasured memories, her children: Gerald (Mary), Colleen (Ed Butler), Shaun (Elaine), Barry, Janet (Wayne Andrews), Tony (Kimberley), Kathy (Albert Lake); her beloved grandchildren: Kiera, Daniel (Melissa) and Kevin Galway, Ashley (Matthew) and Heather Andrews, Ian, Claire and Kyle Galloway, Holly and Kaleigh Lake, Nicole and John Galway, Alicia (Tony), Debbie and Stephanie Butler; her brothers and sisters: Peter (Marg) Delahunty, Evelyn (Aidan) Fitzpatrick, Genevieve (Bill) Power, Eileen (Ben) Hammond, Joan Normore, Patricia King, and Kevin (Irene) Delahunty, a large number of nieces and nephews from the Galway, Miller, Kent, Hawco and Delahunty families and countless friends and neighbors. Her life was made richer by numerous special friendships and she will be fondly remembered by her "card club" partners and her friends in the Catholic Women's League. The family welcomes visitation at Hickey's Funeral Home, Kelligrews from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m on Monday, June 28th, 12:00 p.m.-4:00p.m and 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m on Tuesday, June 29th. The funeral mass in celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova (Powerscourt, Manuels) followed by internment at St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery in Topsail.
