I just heard of Lige's passing and was very saddened to hear it. He was one of my first Lance Corporals when I went to the 1st Batallion in 1964. Lige was a very nice gentleman and was well liked by all of us newbies from The Black Watch Depot. I spoke to him a number of years ago when he called me and it was such a surprise and pleasure that he remembered me. What a guy. He will always live in my mind and heart as I remember him, just a little guy from Long Pond. I also pass on my condolences to his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Judy and family, upon learning of Lig's passing was deeply saddened and my deepest sympathy and empathy goes directly to you and the family. I remember vividly how you and your family were so kind to me at my time of awful sadness when Charlie passed away in 1985. Wonderful memories are remembered of our many visits when I was your neighbor on Readers Road. With respect and love, Sylvia
