Obituary of Abbie Dawe

Passed peacefully away at Meadow Creek Retirement Centre on Thursday, August 8th, 2019; ABBIE DAWE of Cherry Lane, Manuels, age 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Eric, and siblings Noah (Mary) Porter, Mattie (Jim) Jefford, and Lilly Bussey. Left cherishing her memory are their seven children John (Elizabeth), Earl (Barbara), Neil (Maxine), Carl (Nancy), Paul (Patricia), Loretta (Maurice O'Brien), and Jennifer as well as 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also left is a large circle of nephews, nieces, and friends. Special thanks to her acquired family of residents and caregivers at Meadow Creek, who helped make every day a happy one. Their daily gestures of love and affection for her will never be forgotten. Resting at Hickey's Funeral Home, Kelligrews. Visitation 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th. Funeral 1:00 pm Sunday, August 11th at St John the Evangelist Church, Topsail. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Mom's love of children, donations can be made in her memory to the Church Lads Brigade, Girl Guides of Canada NL Council, or Children's Wish Foundation.
