Obituary of Olga J. Barnes

Passed peacefully at Meadow Creek Retirement Home on Saturday, March 23, 2019, our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Olga J. Barnes (Clarke). Predeceased by her beloved husband Albert (Bert),infant son Edgar, son Lloyd, grandson Mark, daughter-in-law Olga and foster daughter Marion. She leaves with many precious memories her children: Joyce (Spencer), Linton, Ann (Howard), daughter-in-law Margaret, Albert (Sandra), Mary (Terry), Shirley and Michael, 26 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. As well as many other relatives and friends. We would like to thank the staff of Meadow Creek for their loving care of Mom during her 6 ½ years. Mom considered Meadow Creek her home, and all the staff her angels. A special thank you to the three nurses, Nancy Ann, Rebecca and Loretta who cared for mom during her last days. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Monday, 7 pm - 9 pm, Tuesday, 2 pm - 4 pm & 7 pm - 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 10 am. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Topsail. Donations in Mom's memory may be made to a charity of your choice or St John the Evangelist Church, Topsail.
