Obituary of Mary Margaret Walsh

Mary Margaret Walsh (nee Carroll) ( March 25, 1936 , Clattice Harbour, Placentia Bay - February 14, 2019, Kelligrews, CBS) It is with profound sadness and broken hearts, that we , the family of Mary Margaret Walsh ( Carroll ) announce her sudden and peaceful passing. She passed away in the presence of her loving family at the HSC on February 14, 2019. She is predeceased by her parents , Elizabeth (Brewer) Carroll and Martin Carroll, her granddaughter Sydney Baggs and her brothers Michael and Thomas Carroll and her sister Rita. Her parents and brother Thomas, resettled from Clattice Harbour to Holyrood. She leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories her beloved husband of 62 years, Raymond Francis Walsh; her caring and devoted children : Sheila Greene ( Charlie ); Sharon Niklas ( George ); Regina Baggs ( Derrick); Raymond Walsh ( Peg ) ; and Wade Walsh ( Mabel); Eunice Carroll Warford ( Graham ) and her children Carrie and Travis , Edmonton, Alberta. Her cherished grandchildren Ryan Walsh, Alexandra Greene , Riley Baggs , Kristian Walsh and Jamie Baggs. She will be missed by her furry companion Dexter, who was always at her side. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews and a small circle of close friends and her card playing buddies. As per mom's wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will take place at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, Long Shore Road, Kelligrews, on Saturday , February 16 at 11am. Inurnment will take place at a future date. Thank you to Dr. Stefanelli and his neurology team and the nursing staff at HSC ER (Danny, Howard , Catherine and Erica) for being so caring during this difficult time for the family. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the NL Heart and Stroke Foundation or the local SPCA.
