I am saddened to hear of the passing of this amazing man, and uncle. I was truly blessed to be able to spend a small amount of time with him, when mum and dad, took us back to Newfoundland. His family, were all very welcoming and made me feel as part of the family. His smile. laughter, and pure heart, will always glow lovingly in my heart forever. Will never forget him, or his family.

Some of my best childhood memories involve uncle Ivan and his silly antics. I always loved seeing him when I was home. He always knew how to make you laugh and smile. My heart sunk as I read of Ivan’s passing today. From the day I met him he has always held a special spot in my heart. Always a smile and a hug no matter what. And occasionally a little dance as we walked down through the lay down area. His memory will live on in the memories he has made and the laughter he has shared with everyone around him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this difficult time. May you find peace in knowing the he is not simply gone....but rather that his is “gone home”!
