I think you should stick with the frneids who you can trust and who will stand by you when you're going through a tough time. And if they try to approach you, you should let them know how you felt when they didn't make an effort to comfort you or give you any words of wisdom about coping with a loss.
Our deepest condolences to all of you at this sad time. Uncle Paddy was a very special person to me, and I'm so thankful to have had him in my life. He was so fortunate to have such a fine family.
