Marina and family I was very saddened this morning to learn of Carl's death and indeed, your tremendous loss. Although Carl and I had not been in close touch in recent years, I remember mostly his kindness and friendship when we moved to Kelligrews many years ago. Ever the sports enthusiast, Carl could not be stumped on sports trivia and his hockey and baseball knowledge were superb. We lived not too far from LeDrew Lumber so my parents and siblings knew the LeDrews well. Carl loved to watch the World Series and especially his Dodgers. As a matter of fact, while at work without a TV in those days he would get me to watch the game after school and then I would have to cross the highway and report to him in detail by the hour on how the game was going. Carl also enjoyed his new cars and was always willing to give one a ride to just about anywhere you wanted to go. I will have those memories of a kind and gentle Carl forever. Rest in peace my friend.
